Ofsted Exemption and Quality Standards
Our camps are currently awaiting OFSTED registration and are currently OFSTED exempt
Whilst this camp is Ofsted exempt, we follow the same policies, structures and high standards expected of outstanding-rated childcare. Children are supervised by experienced staff, supported through clear routines, safe ratios, risk assessments and well-planned activities.
To meet Ofsted exemption requirements, the camp operates as two separate activity programmes:

Koala Klubs operates as an Ofsted-exempt, activity-based holiday club. For children under 8, our provision is centred on structured sports coaching, arts and crafts tuition,
with childcare provided as part of children taking part in these planned sessions. Children aged 8 and over are given a little more freedom and choice within the programme, while still being supervised and supported by our staff.
Under Ofsted’s registration exemptions guidance, some activity-based clubs for children aged 3 and over do not need to register with Ofsted where the main focus is tuition, coaching, instruction or supervised activities, rather than general childcare. Koala Klubs remains committed to high standards of safeguarding, staff suitability, risk assessment, behaviour management, first aid and child welfare across all of our provision.
