What children need to bring
Children should bring a packed lunch, snacks and a refillable water bottle each day, unless they are attending a HAF-funded place where food provision may be included. We also recommend bringing weather-appropriate clothing, comfortable footwear, and any personal items your child may need for the day.
Swimming kit
A swimming kit is required at most Koala Klubs camps where swimming or pool-based activities are included. Please check your camp information before attending. Children should bring swimwear, a towel, and any required swimming aids or goggles if they use them.
Summer camp dates
Our summer camps are open from 24th July to 30th August. Dates and availability may vary depending on the venue, so please check your booking details carefully.
A full day of activities
Koala Klubs camps are packed with variety, energy and fun. Each day includes a wide range of activities, with up to 10 different activity options available. These may include archery, football, dodgeball, field games, tennis, arts and crafts, swimming pool activities, team challenges, creative sessions, outdoor games and lots more.
Learn to Swim for under 8s
At selected camps, we offer a Learn to Swim programme for children under 8. When under 8s are in the pool, sessions are supported by a qualified swimming teacher, helping children build water confidence and develop their swimming skills in a safe and encouraging environment.
Medication at camp
If your child requires medication during the camp day, including inhalers, EpiPens or any medication that may need to be administered by staff, please complete the medication section of the Post Booking Questions online before your child arrives at camp.
When you check your child in, our camp team will receive the medication and confirm the details against our system. Medication is stored safely while your child is with us, and refrigeration is available if required.
Safety, care and supervision
Children are supervised by our camp team throughout the day, with activities planned to be age-appropriate, engaging and safe. Registers, headcounts and daily checks are used to help keep children safe across all activities and transitions.
Signing in and out
All children must be signed in and out by an authorised adult. Please make sure your emergency contact details and collection permissions are up to date before camp starts.
Clothing and weather
Please dress children for an active day. Trainers are recommended, along with clothing suitable for running, playing and taking part in outdoor activities. During warmer weather, children should bring sun cream and a sun hat. During wet or colder weather, please provide a coat or suitable outdoor layers.
HAF-funded places
Children attending through the HAF programme may receive additional provision as part of their funded place, such as food and enrichment activities. Details will be confirmed for each camp programme.

When you arrive at the venue, please ask at reception for Koala Klubs. The venue team will direct you to our check-in area, where our staff will help you find the correct table or zone for your child or children.
At the check-in desk, our friendly Koala Klubs team will:
Once checked in, your child will receive a name sticker and will be shown where to leave their belongings. They will then be encouraged to join in with a fun activity straight away. If they remember amidst all the excitement, they may even say goodbye before heading off to enjoy their day!
Please make sure your child arrives with everything they need for a busy and active day. We recommend bringing:
Please ensure all belongings are clearly labelled with your child’s name. We recommend that children do not bring valuables, electronic devices, toys, or items that may get lost or damaged.
Children should bring enough food and drink for the day, unless otherwise stated. Koala Klubs promotes healthy eating, and we encourage children to bring balanced lunches and snacks.
Please ensure all allergy, dietary and medical information is completed accurately before your child attends. If your child requires medication during the day, this must be handed to a member of staff at check-in and clearly labelled with your child’s name and instructions. Medication must not be left in children’s bags unless this has been agreed in advance as part of an individual care plan.
To help keep all children safe, please avoid sending food containing nuts where possible, as some children attending camp may have severe allergies.
We understand that some children may feel nervous when attending camp for the first time. Our team are experienced in helping children settle in, make friends and feel comfortable. If your child is anxious, please let a member of staff know at check-in so we can give them a little extra support.
Children are grouped and supported in a way that helps them enjoy the day safely and confidently. Siblings and friends can usually stay together where appropriate, although this may depend on age groups, activities and staffing arrangements.
Anyone who may collect your child must be added to the authorised adults section of your post-booking questions before collection.
If the person collecting your child is not recognised by our team but is listed as an authorised adult, they will be asked to show photographic ID before your child is signed out. This is part of our safeguarding procedure and helps us ensure every child is collected safely.
We understand that plans can change and that someone new may need to collect your child. This is absolutely fine, but you must update the authorised adults section of your post-booking questions before they arrive, in line with our camp policies.
Children will only be released to an authorised adult. Please allow a few extra minutes at collection, especially during busy periods, as our team must complete the sign-out process carefully.
Please ensure your child is collected by the stated closing time for your camp, usually 6:00pm. If you are delayed, please contact the camp team as soon as possible. Late collection procedures and charges may apply in line with our policies.
If we need to contact you during the day, we will use the contact details provided in your booking information. Please make sure these details are correct and that your phone is available while your child is at camp.
Parents and carers do not need to stay at the venue once their child has been checked in. If there are any concerns during the day, our team will contact you.
Our aim is for every child to feel safe, welcomed and excited to take part. From the moment they arrive, our team will help them settle in, make friends, try new activities and enjoy a fun-filled day at Koala Klubs.

We recommend that all children wear named practical clothing instead of their favorite brand new clothes as part of our camp preparation checklist. Suitable, comfortable footwear such as training shoes is also essential; please refrain from flip-flops, sandals, and heelys, as they can create health and safety issues. Please bring with you: - Water bottle - Nut Free Packed Lunch and snacks (morning and afternoon) - Swimming costume and towel (if swimming is available at your camp) - Hat and sun cream - Raincoat.
Do Not Bring: Mobile phones, hand-held computer games, iPods/MP3 players, and water pistols/pumps are not permitted at our children's camps at any time. These items will be confiscated and held in the camp office until the end of the camp day.
Check the Weather: We run our camps all year round, so it is essential to consider the weather to ensure your child(ren) are fully prepared. When it's hot and sunny, sun cream, a sun hat, and water bottles are essential. When it's cold and wet, warm clothes, a waterproof coat, and water bottles are crucial. We strive to get outside as much as possible throughout the year, so appropriate clothing will ensure your child(ren) enjoy their time at camp.
Lunch & Snacks: Please ensure you pack a lunch for your child(ren). We encourage a healthy lunch that will provide them with the fuel for an active day; the only restriction is that we do not allow nuts, as all our camps are nut aware! We have a mid-morning and mid-afternoon break for snacks. As snacks are not provided by camp, please keep this in mind when packing your child(ren)'s lunch. If you have booked a packed lunch with us, you will need to provide these snacks as well. Again, please ensure these snacks are nut-free; we recommend fruit or a snack bar. Additionally, please include ice blocks in your child(ren)'s lunch box to keep their lunch as fresh as possible, as we do not have refrigeration available onsite.
Swimming Kit: If your camp has a swimming pool, it is recommended that you bring a swimming kit for your child on the first day, and you will be able to view the schedule for the week.
